For Kroger’s second 30-second film created alongside Hornet and Hornet director César Pelizer, the nation’s largest supermarket chain, and their creative agency DDB New York, piggybacked off the success of their massive company rebrand by creating a cheerful, festive narrative just in time for the holidays. The spot follows a particularly adorable Kroji child as he makes his way from a Kroger store back to his home, spreading holiday mirth and distributing impeccably topical and timely foods along the way: a doughnut for a policeman, a carrot for a snowman, and of course, cookies for Santa. Designed to showcase Kroger’s delivery and free pickup services, the spot is cute, endearing, and the perfect continuation of the César-Kroger world.
