Truth vs Lies is a self-initiated project by Clim & João Lucas. Touched by the Catalans' fight for human and democratic rights and compounded by the political climate in the UK, USA, and most recently in Brazil, Clim felt it was necessary to create a film that shines a light upon the post-truth era in which we are living.
This short piece explains how it has become difficult for people to tell the difference between facts that are based in truth and “facts” that are NOT. Clim partnered with João Lucas to create this neutral yet revealing film and, collaboratively, they chose to use abstraction and visual metaphors to illustrate the challenging realities of these confusing modern times.
