In this promo campaign, Ariel Costa was brought on to direct a short film about the partnership between mobile maker OnePlus with legendary photography brand Hasselblad (famous for registering the first image of Earth from the moon, the iconic Abbey Road album cover for the Beatles, and many more). Ariel responded with a film that tells the story of Hasselblad without ever really showing the product itself. In its place is a kinetic journey through apertures, lenses, focuses, and flares—turning the viewer into the photographer. With monochrome, atmospheric, and abstract 2D motion graphics and occasional 3D elements, the film is ultra-smooth and ultra-effective.
