In this third installation of Hornet-Ziply home internet campaigns, Hornet Director Sarah Beth Morgan teamed up with Creative Director Corey Langelotti to create two energetic spots that showcase Ziply Fiber’s faster, friendlier, full-on greener brand image. In this first foray into live action for Ziply, we combined branded, high-octane 2D animation and high-spirited live action performances to create a wholly unique world.

In each spot, the narrative features a central character—Lucy and Lenny—who has their non-Ziply internet conk out on them. From a cold, gray world with a sad color palette, they’re instantly transported to a maximalist explosion of hyperactive energy in the world of Ziply internet. It’s this stark contrast that makes the transition sing.

From a conceptual standpoint, the live action was designed to go hand in hand with the design. The illustration—led by Jiaqi Wang who Sarah Beth specifically sought out—is quirky & chaotic yet very easy-on-the-eye. "All the clothes were colorful and contemporary, and with casting, we went with the boldest, most energetic people. Tim ended up being really funny and Kiara had to do her interview at a bus stop at LAX with people behind her and she just killed it." Co-director and Hornet CD Corey Langelotti
Fun fact: The live action was filmed in front of a bluescreen rather than green so as not to clash with Ziply's green brand colors.
