The best flavor combinations are all about balance, and directorial duo Lernert and Sander have taken that equilibrium one step further with a balancing act of their own for Castello and Mother London.
This carefully constructed film literally takes the concept of flavor balance to new heights, with a precariously constructed tower featuring all the elements of a romantic meal for two — two chairs, a table, forks, glasses, candles, a cheeseboard — all artfully placed together in harmony. The installation reflects the balance of creamy brie and blue cheese in the Castello Creamy Blue alongside Lernert and Sander’s signature art-installation aesthetic and subtly dry sense of humor. As with all of their work, as much as possible of the final installation was done for real, in camera, to create an intricate and suspenseful film.
