Since 2017, Hornet has worked with Zebra NYC and software giants Salesforce to create a wide mix of content. With director Yves Geleyn at the helm, the work has ranged from product spots for social & broadcast, to keynote intro films for the annual Dreamforce Conference (a flagship event with over 170,000 people and 400 Salesforce brand partners regularly in attendence). There have also been plenty of other assets in between, like the brand-specific “Headliners” animations created for Dreamforce 2018 and included below. One thing that’s stayed constant throughout? An unrivaled commitment to narrative and craft.
Each year, there’s a new adventure for the Salesforce mascots to embark on, a new story to tell, a new way to showcase the “Blaze Your Trail” mission. And each year, these mascots (a large cast of characters which prior to Hornet had previously only ever existed as illustrations) are brought to life through expert 2D animation. In the words of Senior Producer Dez Stavracos, "Bringing them to life in animation meant creating more in depth character turnarounds, figuring out how they moved in space and looked for various angles, while also establishing their personalities." The result is an upbeat, adventurous, and totally consistent design and message across the entire Salesforce ecosystem.
