Eve Sleep greets a new dawn as it unveils its first major branding venture in France. This imaginative spot is a medley of unconventional elements, blending the cult-classic "Hocus Pocus" by Focus, a lively cast of hyper-tactile barnyard characters, and a compact, humor-laden narrative with the timeless appeal of stop-motion production.
From the campaign's inception, the agency envisioned a clear concept: a rooster enjoys a perfect night's sleep on an Eve Sleep mattress and erupts into a 70s prog-rock anthem in its rested revelry, sparking a barnyard-wide yodeling spectacle. The script, though less defined, provided director Peter Sluszka with a canvas of creative freedom, resulting in a quirky setup followed by a theatrical crescendo. The hero rooster kicks down barn doors, navigates cow udders, motivates newborn chicks, and orchestrates a feathery choir atop a towering haybale ziggurat. Over 30 countryside characters were handcrafted, including cows, sheep, pigs, and goats. The meticulous process included hand-applying over 1,000 feathers to the largest roosters and hen, emphasizing the project's cinematic scale. Despite the intense seven week timeline, the creative endeavor, through its absurd humor and kitschy storytelling, loudly belts its message: a night on an Eve Sleep mattress ensures a sleep so rejuvenating that you’d rather sing with sheep than count them.
