When the Grinch's heart grew, though he felt quite a change, there was still much of Christmas that seemed rather strange...

For Christmas, he found, was far more than he'd guessed—  It was sharing and cheer that made it the best ✨

For this charming McDonald's spot, our team designed an extended world with classic Seussian whimsy in every detail, and brought it to life frame by frame with traditional cel animation. From the wonky curves of an umbrella stand to the textured line weight variations, every design choice also needed to be production ready and able to be animated efficiently.

It was a joy to pay homage to the original 1957 Dr. Seuss book and tell a new story of the beloved characters.
